What do we know about Ebola so far?

Ebola has already killed more than 600 people across Africa, and it's only continuing to spread. We asked Dr. Katrik Chandran, an associate professor of microbiology and immunology and the Muriel Block Faculty Scholar in Virology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, to tell us a little more about the deadly disease. Chandran studies Ebola and the related Marburg virus, and helped identify two key proteins used by these viruses to infect humans and bats.
