Hot Drinks Are The Major Causative Factors Behind Cancers Of Mouth, Throat And Esophagus

Nobody in his right mind would be pouring boiling water on his garden plants, or in the mouth of his pet, not to mention into the mouth of his child and yet people drink scalding coffee or tea and they eat food, which is so hot, they would not be able to hold it in their hand. Coffee for a take-out is normally served in double paper cups or the cups with a styrofoam ring around the periphery, that is the only way you can carry it without burning your fingers, and yet people do not seem to care about exposing the tissues in the mouth and throat to the dangerously high temperatures!

Why Doctors Recommend Useless And Dangerous Medical Practices?

Doctors routinely prescribe antibiotics, as well as nose drops to treat common cold, even though, from the purely medical point of view, those are dangerous practices. Antibiotics are useless against viruses, but even if they can help against opportunistic infections, the price is simply too high, as they kill the beneficial flora in the gut and in other places. Essential oils would produce better results, they are cheaper and they do not have any side effects, bacteria cannot develop resistance to them, plus they are also effective against viruses. Regarding nose drops, those simply do not serve the required purpose, which is the removal of bacteria from the nasal passages and keeping them unobstructed. The best way to do it is to flush the nasal passages with a warm saline solution; this removes the mucus and flushes out the harmful bacteria. But the nose drops do not do anything of it, they only shrink the tissues; then the tissues develop resistance, which requires more frequent application of nose drops, otherwise the tissues stay swollen and you simply cannot breath through the nose.

Healthy Year of the Horse

I'm always amazed at the crazy things I hear about or witness seeing people eating. Like tonight my husband and I watched the TV show "Man vs. Food". Have you ever watched that show? It's quite something. Sure it might be entertaining, for some, but I find it disturbing to see food depicted as a sporting event.

Public Bathrooms and a Loved One With Alzheimer's Disease

Just as with a toddler, it seems that the second you step into the car or a restaurant, it is time to go to the bathroom when you are caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's disease. While it has gotten a little easier with more locations offering "Family Restrooms" that are bigger and allow either or both sexes in the room at the same time plus they are more private, you will not encounter this luxury everywhere you go. It is essential to plan ahead and to be prepared.

Family and Friends/Agreement and Disagreement When Dealing With Alzheimer's Disease

As the caregiver, son, daughter, spouse, friend, or relative of a loved one with Alzheimer's disease, there are many difficult decisions to be made. In the best of situations close relatives or perhaps the entire family have gathered to discuss the probability of upcoming choices. The loved one, the victim of the disease, is also present, expressing his or her wishes should s/he become incapacitated and unable to make life decisions. When everything is out in the open ahead of the rough venture down the Alzheimer's trail, less stress and strain on the family is most likely to occur.
